A new trend in our industry is quartz countertops that look like marble. Customers are routinely requesting materials that look like marble with veining and movement but with durability and low maintenance. Quartz is a wonderful solution for these customers since it is non-porous and stain resistant.

We were very impressed with the level of service and attention to detail that Counter Fitters supplies to their customers! We recently did a major renovation to our kitchen and used Counter Fitters for the new counter tops. Our project manager recommended them when we reached the stage for selection of materials to accompany the new cabinetry. Jo and I made the trip to their showroom, where we went thru the various materials they carry from marble, granite to quartz. The salesperson made a presentation after we gave our input on the color of the cabinets we had chosen and what we were looking for to match the decor and colors of our home. As part of this process we had selected a few samples. We had thought we had picked a quartz counter top that my wife and I agreed on, when the salesperson said we could also walk through their site granite slabs. I suggested it was worth doing to confirm our decision. We took the tour and my wife found the perfect granite slab and we locked in on it. They made custom templates for us that we were able to select the most desirable features of our granite. In our case, it was the desirable meandering bends of granite seams that went through our slab like a river and we wanted to avoid the large chunks of mica and quartz. The templates allowed us to move and lock in those beautiful features of the natural granite. Once our new cabinets were installed, Counter Fitters showed up on the appointed time and carefully installed our now cut and highly polished granite counter tops! They ensured a minimum of seams and did an awesome job of making sure they were clean and highly polished when they left! They also came back when the counter tops were dry and we had found minor glue or rough spots for them to buff out or repair. Our granite cost about the same as a quartz counter top, which can come in over and under the cost of quartz depending on the rarity and demand of the granite. We liked the natural randomness of the granite and that the granite was sealed and that it did not have to be resealed for ten years! We thought Counter Fitters is an exceptional vendor and highly recommend them based on our customer experience and quality of their work.
